Supporting President in the day-to-day efforts related to market research, sales and marketing. Work with key accounts, expand channels of distribution, product development/research, forecast, and coordinate marketing initiatives for retailers/channels, as needed. Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies. Strengthen the current portfolio of customers and increase the company’s business volume by exploring new opportunities in the U.S. markets (South, Central and North America). Assisting management in market operating budgets; collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand; support management in the sales forecast activities and set performance goals accordingly; support the sales team to accomplish the sales goals; working together with offices in Italy to prepare space projects; work closely with headquarters in Italy to understand the market and suggest product type, product positioning and pricing; providing support on product knowledge, territory, space in store and visual merchandising; lead sales associate and sales representatives with negotiating and closing deals. Working with marketing professionals on initiatives with international magazines and newspapers; analyzing the market trends, monitoring competitors’ products, sales and marketing activities. This position will supervise the in-house sales associates team and about 10+ Sales Representatives. Five (5) years of managerial experience in retail practices and Business Development is required. Applicant must have experience in commercial management and business development of international retail network. Experience in understanding different categories of Italian luxury furniture products, with preference in household categories. Must have knowledge of Space Management Techniques and Visual Merchandising criteria and their application to similar industry. Strong understanding of brand marketing principles, positioning, tactical marketing concepts, and new approaches to marketing is required. Experience in retail business analysis and solutions for stores, maximizing revenues per square foot. Must have knowledge of KPI, commercial and marketing actions to support stores. Experience in start-up companies or divisions, setting up new procedures and retail formats. Applicant must be fluent in English and Italian Languages.
Domestic and international travel is required (Approx. 20%). 40 hours per week, M-F 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
